Care Summary

Scott's Fairy Wrasse is one of the most colorful reef-safe wrasses available; males display vivid red, orange, and black with a bright green face that makes them pop in any reef setup. Keep one male with two to three females in 55+ gallons with a secure lid; males will fight to the death and the first escape attempt usually happens within the first 48 hours. Feed enriched frozen mysis and brine twice daily; males especially need consistent nutrition to fuel constant courtship displays and maintain peak coloration that dims quickly in underfed fish. Females are attractive in their own right and add to the natural harem dynamic; the male's behavior changes visibly around females, becoming more animated and displaying far more frequently.
