The Spotted Unicornfish is the smaller, more accessible member of the horn-developing Naso species, and it works in systems that could not handle a Vlamingii or Whitemargin. The small horn that develops with age combined with the spotted body pattern makes it one of the more distinctive unicornfishes in terms of physical form. It grazes actively on algae and needs regular nori feeding, but it is not as demanding in terms of sheer swimming space as the larger Naso species. This is a solid middle-ground unicornfish for hobbyists who want the horn aesthetic without committing to a 300-gallon minimum tank.
