Psammacora
Psammacora profundacella
Also known as: Velvet coral, Encrusting psammacora
SPSIntermediate
Care Summary
A velvety encrusting SPS with tiny star-shaped polyps that give it a fuzzy look. Hardier and more forgiving than most SPS, and it encrusts over rockwork quickly once settled. A good first SPS for a stable tank. Photo: Ryan McMinds, CC BY 2.0, via Wikimedia Commons.
