Care Summary

The Bicolor Angel is one of the most visually striking pygmy angels with its half-yellow half-blue pattern, but it has a reputation as one of the more finicky Centropyge species. It needs 55+ gallons with dense rockwork for grazing and hiding; a bare or sparsely decorated tank leads to chronic stress and a fish that hides constantly and refuses to eat. Maintain stable water parameters and offer a varied diet including frozen angel blends, nori, and mysis; bicolors are prone to refusing food if conditions are not ideal. Treat corals with caution in the same system; bicolors will nip at LPS, zoanthids, and softies more reliably than some other Centropyge, especially in smaller tanks.
