High light and high flow at the top is optimal, but damicornis will grow in a wider range of conditions than almost any other SPS — it's genuinely forgiving of placement imperfection. Watch for Acropora-eating flatworms, which will use damicornis colonies as a reservoir and then spread to your more sensitive SPS; regular dipping is good practice even if the colony looks clean.
