The Blue Velvet Damselfish is a hardy, electric-blue nano fish that looks stunning but punches well above its weight in aggression for a 3-inch fish. In a 30-gallon tank it will terrorize slower or more docile tankmates; best kept in a larger reef where other fish can get out of its way, or with robust fast-moving species. It is reef-safe and will not touch corals, making it a good choice if you want color and activity in an SPS-dominant system where delicate fish would struggle. Feeding is trivial: it accepts everything and eats aggressively; the real challenge is managing its personality, not its appetite.
