Possum Wrasse

Care Summary

The Possum Wrasse is a tiny, cryptic wrasse that rarely exceeds 2 inches and spends most of its time picking through rockwork crevices for small invertebrates and copepods. House it in 30+ gallons with mature live rock and an established copepod population; it supplements prepared foods with live prey and needs the microfauna in mature rock to thrive long-term. Feed frozen baby brine and tiny mysis twice daily near its home base; it does not compete at the surface and will be ignored in broadcast feeding scenarios. It is peaceful and reef-safe but can be bullied by larger or more aggressive wrasse species; keep it with small, gentle tankmates that will not steal all its food or stress it out.
