Diamond Goby

Care Summary

The Diamond Goby is a dedicated sand sifter that will process your entire sand bed continuously, turning over detritus and aerating the substrate which benefits the whole system. It needs a sand bed of at least 2-3 inches to work properly; on bare bottom or crushed coral it will be unable to exhibit natural behavior and will pace the tank restlessly. House it in 30+ gallons but understand that it will consume copepods and amphipods from the sand; supplement with frozen mysis and meaty foods to ensure it stays fat. Cover all tank openings; like most sand-sifting gobies it will jump when spooked, and an unsecured lid will eventually cost you this fish.
